Assistant Professor

Dr Hamza Ahmad Raza received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013 from Punjab University Lahore. He received USAID merit-based scholarship for his Master studies from United States Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCASE) at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad, Pakistan. During his masters, he joined Hydro and climate change lab at Oregon State University (OSU), USA as an exchange scholar and worked on a pico hydro power project. Due to his excellent academic career, he was awarded FULBRIGHT scholarship for Ph.D. studies by U.S Department of State. Dr.Hamza completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU) in 2023. Apart from academia, he possesses strong social and communication skills. He was Vice President for Fulbright International Student Association (FISA) and President for Pakistani Student Association (PSA) for 3 years at ASU. He was captain of ASU cricket team and won National College Cricket Championship 2022 for ASU.
His current research interests include Solar PV systems sizing, Solar PV defect analysis and solar PV device characterization, and Solar thermal plants modelling.
