HOD of Chemical Engineering

Shah Muhammad received his B.Sc. (Engg.) degree in Chemical Engineering in 1984 from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and was appointed as lecturer in Chemical Engineering. He has been teaching undergraduate courses in chemical engineering and was promoted to assistant professor in 1988. He secured the M.Sc. (Engg.) degree in Chemical Engineering in 1992. In 2000, he was promoted to the designation of associate professor in Chemical Engineering. He completed his PhD degree in 2010, was promoted to processor in 2015. He served the University of Engineering and Technology for 33 years and got retired in 2016. In February 2017, he joined Sharif College of Engineering and Technology Lahore, as professor and HOD of Chemical Engineering Department. He is presently working as Dean of Chemical and Natural& Social Sciences at the Sharif College of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He has a keen interest in using his expertise in energy conservation in process industry, integration and intensification of processes for efficient and effective use of energy in process industries. On scholastic front, he has nineteen publications related to his research interests and is a member of Pakistan Engineering Council, as professional engineer. Apart from his academic interests, he has worked in university administration at various positions.
